Turtle Cove - Manahawkin, NJ
Located just west
of Manahawkin Bay, Turtle Cove is a fairly private spot for some great wakeboarding.

Turtle Cove is both Salt, and Tidal
water, not for the tame. Water temps don't allow much boarding Nov-April, but
that still leaves May - Oct. That's 6 months if my math is correct!
Location:
You can get to the channel by taking
Exit 63 off the Garden State Parkway. Head towards Long Beach Island. There
are several marina's to drop your boat, then just traverse across the bay to
the cove which is the body of water south of Log Creek Pond.
About
the Cove:
Early morning and Late afternoon
are the BEST times to board here. During the day you get the wally's with their
tubes and water toys. They just chop up the water and make things difficult.
One thing to remember, the tide will affect your wake. high tide is best, but
you can board all day if you like. It is shallow, 3-7 feet depending on where
you are in the cove.
The
Around Town:
Check the web for things
to do in Long Beach Island, you should get a bunch of results on all types of
stuff.
